Appeal to Heaven Hoodie

Used during the American Revolution, the "Appeal to Heaven" flag was originally used by a squadron of cruisers commissioned under George Washington. It was also used by Massachusetts' state navy vessels.

The phrase connotes after a long continuance of unjust abuses of power and all means of redress by earthly authority are ineffectual and exhausted, a people are left no alternative than to appeal to a morally just Supreme Judge for final adjudication and hopeful vindication of their cause through forcible resistance.
